The Officers' MessThe Officers' Mess of the Queen's Own Rifles is much more than a 'club' or social centre. Although initially set up to provide an environment in which officers could relax and entertain away from their place of duty, messes nowadays provide a home not only for those who serve but also for the traditions and history of the Regiment. Our Mess is the institution by which the standards and ethos of the Regiment and its officers will be judged. We invite past members of the Officers' Mess to come home and join us on a Wednesday evening after duty hours - "Once a Queen's Own, always a Queen's Own". The Officers' Mess holds many functions during the year for serving officers as well as associate members and former members of the Mess. Two annual events where all are invited to attend include: The Annual Dinner, routinely held the Friday before Remembrance Day; and The Officers' Christmas Lunch. Routinely held the 3rd Saturday in December. For more information about Mess Events or to become an associate member of the Mess contact send a message to the webmaster.
